"Madness" to ask British taxpayers for more EU funds

Responding to the EU's demand for another £500m from British taxpayers, Dia Chakravarty, Political Director of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said:

"It's madness to ask British taxpayers to pay another £500 million on top of the already extortionate bill that membership of the EU entails. The EU, already notoriously wasteful, should plug any new budget holes from its existing funds by cutting wasteful spending."
