Jonathan Isaby, Chief Executive of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said: "Kids Company received nearly £50million of taxpayers' money with poor levels of financial oversight, so it's little wonder that Mr Yentob has decided it is proving to be a distraction to his job.

"The pensions of the public sector top brass are simply staggering and hard-pressed families will wonder why they must continue to pay for these deals when many have little chance of saving for a decent pension for themselves."
