I can understand that an MP with a constituency in say Scotland or North Wales would need somewhere to live nearer to Westminster
What I can’t understand is why every MP seems to need a second home, even if the constituency is close to Westminster.
(Margaret Moran had a second home, although her constituency was Luton South, easy commuting distance)
Further, if the taxpayer funds the mortgage on the property the increased value should go to the Treasury, not into the MP’s pocket.
