The British Council receives £154.9million of taxpayers' money each year and Prince George's parents have fronted some of the charity's projects across the globe.
It has been hit by criticism in the past for wasting millions of public money on staff perks.
A substantial portion of the charity's funding comes from government. The Taxpayers' Alliance hit out at the charity for spending £6.7million on credit cards between 2010 and 2012.
