Dear all,

After two very energetic and enjoyable years, I am now moving on from the TPA.  It has been an incredible experience working for such a dynamic campaign, and it has been very pleasing to play a part in the organisation’s rapid growth.

We are now at a stage where our voice cannot be ignored in Westminster.  Government departments, public sector bodies and local councils have been shaken out of a culture of too much complacency, with waste, transparency, the tax burden and the quality (or lack of) of political management now key issues.  It remains a tough and messy fight, with powerful vested interests resisting reform, but one I am confident we can eventually win.

My replacement as Research Director is the very able Matthew Sinclair.  I am sure the research work of the TPA will go from strength to strength under his direction, and I know exciting projects are underway.

I want to thank Matthew Elliott, Andrew Allum and everyone at the TPA, and all our thousands of supporters, for making the last two years possible.  I will stay closely in touch, and wish everyone well for the future.

With very best wishes

Corin Taylor

I trust and hope that you’ve been sacked for failure like you all recommend for public sector employees. After all, you’ve failed to get taxes reduced.

  • Rob

Campaigning for lower taxes and better government? It’s almost impossible to work out where to begin in criticising this cretinous tagline. Whoever runs this organisation must be equally cretinous.

I don’t think their cretinous Rob. I think they’re rich and planning to get richer through lower taxes. I doubt they give a stuff about better government, its just propaganda. They don’t use public services as they have private health and education etc, so what they really want is less for the rest of us.
If they actually really wanted better government, they wouldn’t just attack it continuously, with half truths and barefaced lies and NEVER any balanced positive stuff. What did the public sector ever do for us? Ok, well apart from the roads, public housing, sanitation, public education, public health and the conquest of many diseases, universal healthcare, clean air etc etc etc. Apart from that, what did the public sector ever do for us.

I just wanted to write a quick thank you to you Corin for the leadership and hard work you’ve given this group. You’ve set a standard for excellence and direction that will steer us forward as we continue in our work. On a more personal note, thank you for all the guidance you’ve given me personally. I’ve been blessed to find such a mentor in my short time here thus far. Thank you again and good luck to you in all of your future endeavors.

All the best Corin. You and your team have made great in roads into the well over due reality check for the public sector. It is influencing policy direction for the incoming new government and boy do the public sector know it. Kicking, screaming & squealing all the way – very well done indeed. I applaud you all.

Rubbish, he’s a useless failure who should be sacked. We should bully and pick on these people remourselessly like the Right have done with Sharon Shoesmith.
and the incoming new government will be a Labour government. You don’t think the slimy Cameron will get away with how inept he’s been with regard to this downturn do you. Clueless!
