Last night saw our first major event of the year, with Rt Hon Dame Margaret Hodge MP speaking to John O'Connell about her new book: Called to Account: How Corporate Bad Behaviour and Government Waste Combine to Cost us Millions.
The evening started with a bang, as Margaret warned John that he might have to tell her when to stop as they came to talk about the problems within the civil service.
To a packed room Margaret discussed her experience of wasteful public spending as Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, covering the MoD through to the BBC.
After the 'in conversation' event Margaret kindly stayed on to answer further questions and sign copies of her book, which was available to purchase.
