Now that the gallery has finally opened the WMTPA will be keeping an eye on the progress of this £67m project.

So no prizes for guessing which newly opened arts centre this unnamed employee works for:

The public logo “The powers that be have made a big fuss of announcing the building is “fully open”, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There is nothing at all on the second floor, it is an empty shell. The fourth floor is not much better, the “pod” offices that have been created are still empty and because of the way the building is designed you can hear everything going on throughout the building.
“It is so noisy, you would find it difficult to run a business from there.”

So not only have we all been ripped off, it seems we’ve been somewhat misled too.

The comments of Express & Star readers say it all really…

An overwhelming seven people respond to an article, in respect of the comments of an employee who did not wish to be named, published by a “newspaper” that one might suggest is slightly biased against the public, given its previous coverage.
Still, Fiona, got to put something on the blog, haven’t you and I couldn’t expect to hear so much a peep from you about the disgraceful rise in executive pay reported today (an average rise of in excess of ten per cent, depsite massive falls in profits and share values) compared to average workers.
Please remember this when you refer to “rewarding failure” in the public sector.
