In the media on Magna Carta and Direct Recovery legislation

The TaxPayers' Alliance released a legal briefing on the Direct Recovery of Debts legislation this week, which can be found here. This legislation would give Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs the power to seize money directly from an individual's bank account, potentially without the safeguards you would expect.

There was plenty of coverage of the report, with it featuring in the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph and in CityAM. 

In addition, Andy Silvester, our Campaign Director, wrote for ConservativeHome - and on the Telegraph website, Jonathan Isaby called for the Government to reconsider plans to put a notoriously incompetent HMRC in charge of such draconian plans.
