Kirklees Council writes off £850,000 owed by developers for school places, road improvements and playgrounds - Huddersfield Daily Examiner

Taxpayers' Alliance chief executive, Jonathan Isaby said:

“It’s sad when companies go bust but the council should continue to try and recover money where possible.

“It may be the case that some money is irrecoverable and given pressures on budgets, the council will have to ensure it makes savings elsewhere.”
