Daily Telegraph: Why are taxpayers still funding the unions?
A recent report by the TaxPayers’ Alliance, taken from 1,300 public sector organisations, showed that trade unions received £113 million from public sector organisations in 2010-11 in direct payments and paid staff time. Over the lifetime of a parliament, this would amount to more than half a billion pounds.
