“Taxpayers will be alarmed that so much of their money is being handed out in compensation for trips and falls,” said Emma Boon, campaign director.
“Some of these payments will be a result of a growing but unwanted compensation culture.
“If the council had done its job in the first place, like gritting the school path, then these claims could have been avoided entirely.”
