Following the council meeting held in secret, the matters under investigation are believed to include a ‘climate of fear’ in the islands and his claim for accumulated leave. A councillor attending the meeting claimed the Scilly community was ‘rife with unease’.
An official statement from the Town Hall declared ‘this suspension does not constitute disciplinary action.
