Scottish teachers’ union accused of ‘compensation culture’ - Daily Express

Dia Chakravarty of the Taxpayers' Alliance, said councils were either failing to provide a legal standard of care or gave in to compensation claims "too easily".

She added: "Neither situation reflects well on the bodies concerned while taxpayers are left out of pocket. Sadly, there is a growing compensation culture which wasted money that could be better spent on teaching materials and improving standards."
