Council Tax payers in Wales have been hit by extortionate hikes in their bills, year after year.
In England, councils which want to raise bills by 2 per cent or more have to call a referendum and get the public's consent for the move, but this is not the case in Wales. Many taxpayers have seen rises of as much as 5 per cent!
We are calling on councils in Wales to make savings, cut waste and cut bills. We want local people to be able to hold their representatives to account and are calling for the 2 per cent rule to be extended into Wales. Taxpayers should not have to face year on year inflation-busting rises.
