'Strapped for cash’ Kent council spends thousands on Brussels office

A Taxpayers' Alliance investigation has revealed that Kent County Council has spent €11,464.24 a year to rent an office space in Brussels. The council provided no reason for owning this office space. 

 

Speaking to the Guido Fawkeswhich published the findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong, said:

“Taxpayers will wonder why a local council needs an office space across the channel. 

“Town hall bosses waffle on about over stretched finances yet its clear to see that there is still fat left to be cut.

“Local authorities should focus spending closer to home ”
