Over the past weeks, TPA supporters have been petitioning along with members of the West London Residents Association and Guide Dogs for the Blind to end the expensive, dangerous “shared surface” schemes in Kensington and Chelsea.
These plans by the council have already cost £330,000 for a small shared surface scheme outside Sloane Square underground station. There are further plans to spend £42 million turning Exhibition Road into a catastrophe waiting to happen.
We started our campaign with a successful rally which we blogged about here. Tomorrow we’ll be handing in our petition and holding a demonstration against such an expensive and wasteful scheme. If you would like to come along and support our campaign please send me an email and I'll send you the details.
