A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has uncovered that £10,418,137 was spent on 26 university research projects that make little to no sense, like £199,922 to Coventry University to research 'Moving Online: Ontology and Ownership of Internet Dance. '
Speaking to the Sun, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong said:
"Taxpayers know government waste is rampant, but this takes the cake.
"Officials are milking expenses, and that reckless attitude is spreading to other public sector spending, like university grants.
"Ministers need to wake up, crack down on waste, and start treating taxpayers' money with the care it deserves."
