Keeping Council Tax low in Windsor and Maidenhead

In Windsor and Maidenhead, our approach to Government is to only take in Council Tax what is absolutely necessary to spend to deliver high quality services at a low cost. In many authorities the elected representatives and their officials would say exactly the same thing – but in Windsor and Maidenhead, we not only do it in practice, but it underpins the political drive to deliver maximum value to local taxpayers.

It is taxpayers’ money, and we never forget it.

In the last 6 years we have cut Council Tax in absolute terms, and considerably more in relative terms to inflation. With council tax one of the largest household bills this is an important contribution to the household finances, controlling the number of pounds we literally confiscate from residents is a high priority.
