A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has revealed that 154 NHS Trusts across the UK suffered 35,283 data breaches between 2021-24.
Speaking to Guido, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong said:
"Taxpayers will be happy to see the NHS go digital, but their track record will be cause for concern.
“Patients trust the NHS with private and confidential data, NHS bosses need to prioritise tightening up their security.”
