NHS still spending millions on diversity roles

The NHS is still spending millions of pounds on diversity roles, a TaxPayers' Alliance investigation revealed. £13 million was spent by just 123 trusts in 2022/23 with the average salary sitting at around £45,000.

 

Speaking to The Telegraph, which published the findings, our chief executive John O'Connell said:

“Taxpayers have had enough of public services funnelling money into the grievance industry.

“Hard-pressed households want their funds focused on front line services, not on diversity demagogues.

“Time for ministers to take decisive action to put a stop to this woke hiring spree.”
