No silencing the voice of taxpayers

by Benjamin Elks, grassroots development manager

On Sunday night, a message went out to TPA staff informing us that we’d have to spend Monday working from home. In an effort to disrupt our work and that of other organisations based in our building, someone cut the fibre optic cable that provides our internet and phone services. This isn’t the first time we’ve been targeted by hard-left loonies - the same thing happened back in January and a couple of years ago Just Stop Oil chose to paint us orange.

To reassure you that this kind of action failed to disrupt our work, we thought we’d share a sample of what the TPA achieved.

Our research team didn’t miss a beat, signing off the content and design of a new factbook as part of our campaign for the abolition of inheritance tax, reviewing NHS productivity data and where efficiencies can be made, completed drafts for two new research papers, sorted over 100 freedom of information responses and examined 50 accounts for different government bodies. One of their team even fit in an appearance on Talk to discuss the chancellor’s proposed civil service cuts.

Not to be outdone, our campaigns team was firing on all cylinders. From releasing new data showing that the Starmer government is set to spend £6.43 trillion by the end of the parliament and calling out the latest pay rise for MPs to hitting the GB News studio to make the case for reining in spending, collating Whitehall EDI data, and planning local campaigns, it was a jam packed day.

If the civil service were this productive, we might not mind them working from home all the time.

While our lefty opponents have to resort to criminal damage, the TPA knuckles down and delivers for taxpayers.
