Police diversity jobs increase by almost a third in three years

A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has found that Police forces across the UK have spent £14,754,730 on 509 EDI roles in the last three financial years.

Speaking to the Telegraph, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong, said:

“ Taxpayers will be worried to see that police forces have misguided priorities.

“EDI roles have been proven to be counterproductive, however, it is clear the organisations are ignoring this as the number and cost of these roles continue to rise.

“Police chiefs clearly need to recenter their focuses and stop wasting money on these ineffective non-jobs.”
