Surge in diversity bosses ‘plaguing’ public sector

A TaxPayers' Alliance investigation has uncovered that quangos across the UK have spent £26,695,098 on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion roles 2021-24. 

Speaking to the Telegraph, which published these findings, our investigations campaign manager, Joanna Marchong said:

"Taxpayers will be furious that EDI roles continue to plague the public sector.

"Despite ministers pledging to cut waste, these costly, unaccountable, and counter-productive roles are still draining public funds.

"If Labour is serious about tackling waste, they should start by axing inefficient quangos and scrapping these pointless positions."
