TaxPayers’ Alliance responds to calls for tax cuts

For immediate release

Responding to reports of the Prime Minister facing pressure to cut taxes, John O’Connell, chief executive of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said:

“Virtually everyone can see that taxpayers are crying out for some long-awaited tax cuts.

“All too often we've seen the government give with one hand but take back a good deal more with the other, making taxes the single biggest bill families face.

“If the prime minister wants to boost growth and help households, he can do both by bringing forward the planned income tax cut.”
