TPA backs pay cut for NI Assembly Members

Commenting on the UK Government's decision to cut pay for Northern Irish Assembly Members, Chloe Westley, Campaign Manager at the TaxPayers' Alliance said:

"The Northern Ireland Assembly has failed to form an executive, and as a result residents in Northern Ireland have experienced suboptimal public services because no ministers are able to make major decisions.

This is simply not fair to those who pay their taxes and rely on these services, and the UK Government's decision to cut the salaries of Assembly Members until they resume their normal duties is entirely justified."
