Tunbridge Wells Action Day on council offices

TPA staff and supporters travelled to Royal Tunbridge Wells to campaign against proposals to build new council offices and a theatre at a cost of £90 million to local ratepayers. This despite the fact they already have reasonably good infrastructure that a simple refurbishment would bring up to modern standards. Many locals told us they thought the project was a complete waste of money. They wanted funds spent improving the high street and ensuring the council provides good services. The Calverley Square project as it is known will require a loan of £77 million and will take 50 years to repay! Watch our campaign day in Tunbridge Wells.
