WMTPA Action Day in Birmingham City Centre

On Wednesday the WMTPA took to the streets of Birmingham to petition for a cut in local council tax.

The sun may well have been shining but our determined TPA activists braved severe cold to collect signatures from passers-by down next the indoor and outdoor markets by the Bullring shopping centre.

At late notice and on a weekday morning it was great to see some of our dedicated supporters come to Brum to fly the flag for lower taxes.  From around the region (including Warwick and Wolverhampton) our plucky activists did a fantastic job of engaging with local residents and promoting our campaign. It was tremendous to meet some new faces as well as catch-up with some of our most loyal and hard-working activists.

And this won’t be the TPA’s last outing in Birmingham as we’re planning another Action Day for the city on 15th February. Do put the date in your diaries as we plan grow this petition so we can eventually present it to Birmingham City Council. There will be more information in the West Midlands weekly bulletin, but if you’re prepared to wrap-up warm and help the cause, please do come along! Let me know by emailing [email protected].
