Fight the Pembrokeshire tax hike

Pembrokeshire council are proposing a 16 per cent council tax rise for residents, which TPA research has revealed would be the third largest in Wales since 1997-98 and the largest in England and Wales since the council tax referendum principles were implemented in 2012-13!

In England, any council tax rise above 5 per cent has to be approved by a referendum, but in Wales there is NO limit. It will mean an extra £219 per year for band D taxpayers.

We at the TPA are campaigning for councillors to reject this rise and focus their efforts on cutting down waste, introducing efficiencies and scrapping pointless pet projects.

We will be taking our campaign to the heart of Pembrokeshire, from 28th February to 1st of March. Let us know if you want to join!
