An MP since 2010, Steve has held roles including Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, Economic Secretary to the Treasury and Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. He has been Chief Secretary to the Treasury since February 2020, when he replaced Rishi Sunak.
After an extraordinary year, and state intervention of historic proportions, the state of the public purse is the issue at the top of everyone’s agenda. This will undoubtedly be a fascinating event.
