TaxPayers’ Alliance responds to HS2 boss’ resignation

For immediate release

Responding to the resignation of HS2’s chief executive, John O’Connell, chief executive of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said:

“A change in leadership at the top of HS2 will bring little comfort to taxpayers.

“Brits know that new management will not mean an end to the spiralling costs and huge delays.

“Time for the government to end this nightmare for taxpayers and scrap HS2 once and for all.”
