TaxPayers’ Alliance responds to news that around 60,000 motorists are being hit with ULEZ charges every day

For immediate release

Responding to news that around 60,000 motorists a day are being hit with ULEZ charges, John O’Connell, chief executive of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said:

“These figures paint a stark picture of the price poorer motorists are paying for ULEZ.

“A great deal of the non-compliant cars driving in the capital will be owned by people and businesses least able to make the switch and avoid these ruinous fees.

“Even now it’s not too late for the Mayor to reverse course and scrap this unnecessary and punitive scheme.”
