TaxPayers’ Alliance responds to Rishi Sunak arriving at COP28

For immediate release

Responding to Rishi Sunak arriving at COP28, John O’Connell, chief executive of the TaxPayers' Alliance, said:

“The interests of the global quangocracy are not the same as the interests of British taxpayers.

“Too often these international conferences end up as little more than hideously expensive meet-and-greets for the world’s great and good, rather than genuine platforms to discuss important climate issues.

“Rishi must ensure he is putting taxpayers front and centre in all of his conversations.”
